So fortunate was I to grow up in a large family with strong cultural teachings and practices which is where I learned to celebrate and respect ritual and tradition. This has informed my world ever since. Through these teachings I developed a reverence and appreciation for the keepers and makers of these time honoured traditions, across all art forms but especially in textiles.

A recurring childhood dream of exotic colourful fabrics, of ancient lands and of pink archways was realised on a visit to Jaipur the pink city of India, where I felt a deep abiding and overwhelming sense of coming home. Here artistry is steeped in tradition and stories and are not separate from everyday life.

From this our Design Tribe Co(llective) was born with the notion to curate timeless collections in wanting to inspire and express our uniqueness and in reverence for these long held traditions and with respect for our planet.
